A really fantastic day on Etna with our guide Luigi. So full of knowledge, we learnt so much. We went on the Etna Full Day Tour. We were picked up from our hotel in Taormina and we visited Crateri Silvestri on Etna, which was amazing, Valley of the Ox, a lava tube, Oro d’Etna (farm) and Acicastello where it all began. The whole experience was more than we could have expected and we enjoyed every minute of it. Will recommend your trips to anyone who is travelling to Sicily and would like to thank Luigi for looking after us so well.

My family and I took the morning tour to Mr Etna from our cruise ship. As there were 4adults and 4 children we had a private tour and our guide Florina was excellent. She took the time to explain everything to the children and we saw a lot and learnt a lot. The trip was amazing and the driver was very skilled. We were able to go to places that the big buses couldn’t navigate. The booking process was easy and a car seat was provided. I highly recommend this company.

Abbiamo scelto il percorso Etna Morning. Che esperienza fantastica! Luigi, la nostra simpaticissima e preparatissima guida, ha dato valore aggiunto alla nostra escursione. Oltre ad aver spiegato con passione i dettagli dal punto di vista geologico e naturalistico, ci ha dato anche ottimi consigli sulla città di Catania e dintorni. Abbiamo incontrato Luigi verso le 8 nella piazza più vicina al nostro alloggio, dopodiché abbiamo raggiunto col minivan il rifugio Sapienza e da qui è iniziata una piacevole passeggiata di circa un’ora attorno ai crateri Silvestri. Da qui ci siamo spostati in una grotta equipaggiati con caschetto e torcia, per poi arrivare nei pressi della valle del Bove. Infine, siamo stati accompagnati in un’azienda agricola, dove abbiamo potuto degustare diversi prodotti autoctoni tra cui miele, olio e vino. L’escursione è terminata verso le 14 nella stessa piazza dell’appuntamento mattutino. 5 stelle alla passione e alla competenza della guida Luigi.
We had a truly amazing excursion with our Guide Samuela on Etna on 10 August. Despite booking our half day tour very late the afternoon before, we were collected early next day from our hotel in Catania. There were 5 of us – me, my son and his wife and my 2 grandsons aged 11 and 13. Samuela was delightful and had perfect English and exceptional knowledge about volcanoes, geology, geography, local history and especially about Etna. She was able to explain so much about the mountain and answer all our questions. We walked around the lower craters, explored the lava cave and then drove around the mountain to see a place where the lava flow miraculously stopped immediately before someone’s house, just saving the nearby village. Thank you Samuela for giving us a most informative and enjoyable day. We would all highly recommend you.
Our Mt. Etna adventure was beautiful and educational. Our guide, Samuela, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate which made the tour exciting. It was 4 of us on the excursion leaving from Catania as planned for a sunset summit. Each part of the afternoon was different and interesting, from the honey tasting to the lava cave to reaching 2000 meters on Etna, each one was spectacular. We had an amazing Etna Morning Tour today. Everything was perfect, we learned so many interesting things, he explained the history of volcano and answered all of our questions. We visited Crateri Silvesteri, Valle del Bove had an easy walk in lava cave. The end of the trip we tasted some special Etna products. Breathtaking views, delicious vine, olives and honey.
Luigi is a great guide, his knowledge is amazing also, he took care of us during the tour. Unforgettable experience.

Durante il breve weekend a Catania non potevamo non conoscere di persona Etna, quella signora chiacchierona che borbotta sempre ma che alla fine, abbiamo scoperto, è “tutto fumo e niente arrosto”!
La nostra brillante guida, Florinda, è stata super gentile e super divertente. Non potevamo immaginare di meglio, è stata un’avventura entusiasmante e magica. Grazie a Florinda abbiamo imparato tante cose sull’Etna e sui vulcani in generale, è stata una mattinata molto piacevole. L’Etna è un posto incantato che si può capire e apprezzare solo con l’aiuto di una guida esperta e preparata.
Per quanto ci riguarda è stata un’esperienza emozionante, i panorami lasciano senza fiato e tutto intorno sembra un mondo incantato.
Lo consigliamo a tutti! E se il prezzo dovesse sembrarvi alto, fidatevi, non lo è per niente, vale ogni centesimo che pagate e anche di più.

We took the Etna & Alcantara gorge tour. Our guide Samuela was excellent. We were only three of us yet she made it so interesting and informative. We were also lucky to get some gorgeous views of Mt Etna as well as the Sivestri crater despite being the middle of December! The lava caves were great. We didn’t have to contend with large crowds as it was December. Samuela made it a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience. I would highly recommend her.
We had the Etna Morning tour today, with the excellent guide Luigi. He picked us up near to our apartment on time, and we visited all the beautiful places offered in the tour package. He gave us so much information about Etna and the volcanos, landscape in general , we couldn’t even ask questions as he told us everything important. We then went to the beefarm to taste local products, several types of honey (even honey with pistachio or strawberry…amazing!) and delicious wines as well. We are really happy that we choose to book this tour, we would definitely recommend to all!
We had a great day with Luigi as our guide. We booked the Full day tour only a few days prior with no issues getting the day we wanted. On the day were picked up from Catania not far from out guesthouse. There were only 6 of us so the trip felt very personalised and we managed to make all the spots listed without rushing.
Luigi was very knowledgeable on the geology of the area and Mt Etna which impressed me as a geophysicist who has studied some volcanology at University.

Our guide was Luigi. Both the tour and Luigi were awesome. He is a good driver, friendly, very passionate about what he is doing and very knowledgeable about Etna. We got a lot of interesting Etna stories and facts. We had a cool day.
Etna is a must when visiting Sicily.
Our only regret was that we did not have more time in Taormina. We would recommend to take Taormina as a separate tour if possible because the city is very pretty and definitely deserves a whole day or half days at least on its own.

Yesterday we(family of 3 persons) did the Etna and Alcantara tour with Lucia. It was a very enjoyable day. Lucia was punctual and picked us from Catania airport. She was very friendly and made sure we enjoyed the tour. We loved the spectacular views. It is evident that Lucia has a very good knowledge of the area and she was ready to answer all our questions. The tour requires basic fitness and it is very safe. All activities mentioned in the programme were carried out in about 7 Hours 30 minutes. Very satisfied with the whole package! Excursionsetna are truly professional and well organized! Keep up the good work!
L’altro ieri sono stato sull’Etna con la mia famiglia, bella esperienza. Ho scelto il morning tour per questioni di tempo, ma mi sono ripromesso che ritornerò per fare il tour serale fino a 3000 metri. La giornata era molto ventosa, quindi nn ho potuto godere del panorama in tranquillità, ma lo scenario è spettacolare. Per ultimo un plauso alla guida Aristide, che ha saputo rispondere in modo semplice e chiaro a tutte le nostre domande. Complimenti per la preparazione e l’organizzazione. Da consigliare.

We did a morning/half-day Etna tour and our host was very informative and answered all our questions, alongside providing us with an amazing experience seeing the mountain and visiting interesting Geological aspects of Mount Etna.
We were on a cruise and therefore had limited time at port in Catania however Etna Tours accommodated us and assisted by arranging pick-up and drop-off at the Port entrance.
Highly recommend booking with this company if you want to see and experience all Mount Etna has to offer.

We booked a half-a-day-tour to the Etna, which was amazing! Our guide Luigi was the best. He was super friendly, funny and answered even the stupidest questions: We had fun, learned a lot and had amazing views. On our way down we could even witness an explosion at the top. На 13.10.2018 малка група от 6 човека (4 българи и 2 англичани) бяхме на организирано посещение, на Етна. Бяхме избрали пакета за изкачване на 3000м н.в., а водач ни беше Луиджи (Luigi). Накратко, останахме много доволни, като цената от 100 Евро на човек,си беше напълно заслужена. Водача ни Луиджи, обясняваше през цялото време, за всичко около нас и цялата ни група горещо го препоръчва на всички, които възнамеряват да направят подобен тур.
On October 13, 2018, a small group of 6 people (4 Bulgarians and 2 Englishmen) was on an organized visit to Ethna. We chose the climbing package at 3000 m above sea level, and Luigi was our guide. In short, we were very pleased that the price of 100 Euros per person was completely deserved. Our driver Luigi explained all the time about everything around us and our whole group strongly recommends it to everyone who intends to do such a tour.
Very nice trip to Etna. The guide Ludovico is a friendly person and known so well the geography, geology and history to the volcano. Great day. I learned so much and i got to understand and love this amazing volcanic massif.

My husband and I did a trekking tour of Mt. Etna with the fabulous Luigi in early April, and we had an excellent experience. Luigi was funny, energetic, and very informative. He felt like an old friend by the end of the day. The weather was not perfect, but that obviously was not his fault. Even though the the view wasn’t always clear, we had a great experience and would absolutely recommend the trek to anyone! It was a fun, beautiful day, taking in the natural beauty of Mt. Etna and the surrounding area. The hike itself is moderately challenging, with some steep inclines. It felt like a good workout, so if you’re looking for more of a leisurely stroll, perhaps this particular activity is not the best for you. I believe Etna Excursions offers other options for those with mobility issues or who prefer less activity. After the hike, Luigi took us inside a small volcanic cave, which was very cool (and not too deep, for those of us with claustrophobia)! We also got to visit a village nearby and taste local honey, wines, and other delicacies produced in the area. 10/10, great value. Highly recommend.
We went on the guided Morning tour with the amazing Florinda and I could not recommend it more! The pick-up was punctual and the views were phenomenal! Our tour guide was fun and energetic throughout the whole day and knew the answers to all of our questions. The tasting of local produce was really good too! I recommend this tour with all my heart!
We had a very informative and enjoyable sunset tour of Etna with Luigi. He was extremely knowledgeable and interesting and a delightful person to spend four hours with. I think Etna must be one of the most underappreciated destinations in Europe and I would certainly encourage anyone who get to Sicily to take the time to do one of your tours.
My friend and I had a great sunset tour with Marilena. We explored lots of sights on the way up – including the caves, historical lava flow and a lovely local honey farm! We managed to walk up and around a number of craters which was great and the views are amazing! Thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Sicily. Thank you!

We took a morning tour to Etna with Florinda. It was the best tour we had during our holiday in Sicily. Florinda provided an extensive and very informative stories about Etna and the surrounding. We took a morning hike with Ludovico who was wonderful. He picked us up from our B&B in Giardini-Naxos which cost a bit extra, and in hindsight we could have driven ourselves to the mountain. Once you arrive at the volcano site all visitors pay for the same tour up towards the summit. But it was worth it to have a guide take as knowledgeable, smart and charming as Ludovico take us there and show us a few other interesting geological and cultural stops along the way.
We went on the Sunset tour and were very happy with our decision! Booking was straight forward and the communication up to and on the day of the trip was clear and simple. The tour itself offers lots of variety and sights, however, the best aspect was our guide, Luigi. His passion and knowledge of the volcano was contagious and made for a really insightful and fun experience. Thanks to Luigi and the Etna Excursions team. David.

We took an afternoon tour to Etna with Excursions Etna. The tour guide was punctual and very professional, he provided us much information about the vulcan and its past, its stories and features. It was fantastic! We tasted lots of typical products and learned many things! I surely recommend it!

Our tour of mount Etna was the highlight of our trip to Sicily. Our tour guide Luigi made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout the tour. He has outstanding knowledge of the mountain and its history and was more than happy to share every detail. He also gave us general tips on locations and local cuisines to try during our stay. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend to others.

Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi dalla giornata passata insieme alla guida Aristide.
Durante il tragitto in macchina e le varie tappe ci ha intrattenuto con curiosi aneddoti ed interessanti spiegazioni sul parco dell’Etna e la natura circostante. Il tour da noi scelto ci ha condotto tra colate laviche, valle del Bove e assaggi di liquori e mieli locali, grotta nel bosco e per finire una piacevole passeggiata tra i crateri ai 2000 metri.
Quello che noi cercavamo era un’escursione non impegnativa, alla portata di tutti, e così è stato. Carisma e passione della nostra guida Aristide, sono il valore aggiunto della nostra esperienza, non ci ha trasmesso nozioni ma l’amore per ciò che fa.
Nota a parte, abbiamo avuto la fortuna di incontrarlo all’inizio della nostra vacanza e abbiamo potuto godere dei suoi preziosi consigli durante il resto del viaggio.
Esperienza consigliatissima che portiamo nel cuore come uno dei ricordi più belli della Sicilia.

Escursione TO0. In poche ore vieni catapultato nella storia del vulcano e tra giri in auto, funivie, jeep enormi, trekking ad alta quota, degustazioni, racconti e passeggiate sulla lava, trascorri una piacevole giornata che ricoderai per sempre.
Consigliatissimo! Soprattutto per la precisione negli orari e per l’attinenza a quanto proposto come tour.

Io e la mia compagna abbiamo fatto un’escursione mattutina con Aristide. È stata molto interessante sia per il paesaggio vulcanico che è bello ed emozionante che per la competenza e disponibilità della guida. Aristide è molto simpatico e non ci si annoia mai. Durante la visita abbiamo apprezzato le sue conoscenze, ma anche la sua capacità di intrattenerci con curiosità e aneddoti. Davvero complimenti!!
Esperienza unica quella fatta il 29 ottobre sull’Etna con l’escursione al mattino. Abbiamo visitato una grotta lavica, i crateri Silvestri e cosa straordinaria la valle del Bova dove è presente la colata lavica del 91-93. La nostra guida é stata molto attenta e minuziosa e il tempo è stato dalla nostra parte regalandoci una giornata di sole pazzesca.
Esperienza che consiglio di fare a chiunque passi da Catania
Escursione effettuata il 4 Agosto 2021. Siamo stati accompagnati da Florinda e Aristide, due molto preparate e che personalmente credo siano fondamentali per lo sviluppo e la “comprensione” di questi luoghi. Dico siamo, perché eravamo un gruppo nutrito (6 adulti e 6 bambini) ma l’escursione è stata piacevole e mai noiosa.
Oltretutto anche a livello economico molto onesti. Consigliatissimi !!!!
Abbiamo passato una splendida mattinata sull’Etna con Aristide che si è da subito rivelato molto disponibile e professionale. Aristide ci ha da subito dato la disponibilità ad accompagnarci sul vulcano quando ha saputo che non eravamo muniti di macchina. Inoltre, ha sempre risposto in modo competente alle nostre domande, risultando sempre interessante e mai noiosa e mostrando una grande passione per quegli splendidi luoghi.
Un piacevole Ferragosto con Florinda. Fin da subito è stata previdente nel decidere di partire in anticipo per evitare l’affollamento del 15 agosto sull’Etna. L’essere solamente in due ci ha permesso di godere di un tour “privato”. Florinda ci ha dato tutte le informazioni ed approfondito diversi temi rispondere alle nostre numerose domande. È stata così gentile da proporsi di farci le foto e darci indicazioni sul nostro soggiorno a Catania.
Esperienza emozionante e ben organizzata. I nostri figli di 11 e 8 anno sono stati entusiasti. Le guide sono state gentilissime e molto professionali inoltre hanno avuto la pazienza di rispondere a tutte le domande dei bambini. Una bella esperienza che consiglio a tutti.
Attività “Etna wine tour”
A parte una piccola incomprensione iniziale, l’escursione é stata molto interessante. La guida che ci ha accompagnato é stata molto disponibile ed esaustiva. Il percorso é interessante e illustra i punti fondamentali delle bellezze dell’Etna. L’attività é tranquilla e adatta a qualsiasi età e livello di preparazione fisica (sostanzialmente una piacevole passeggiata). Il tour termina con un’ottima degustazione di vini presso una cantina delle pendici dell’Etna: bella location, personale gentile disponibile e preparato, ottimi vini e prodotti del territorio
La gita Tramonto sull’Etna è stata una bellissima esperienza. Le guide sono professionali e amichevoli al contempo. I tempi sono ben organizzati e alla sera il panorama è stupendo senza folla.

We have attended the morning trip to Etna with Florinda.
It was perfect. She picked up us from the place near our accomodation with her off-road car.
Florinda is a good guide, we got to know many interesting things about Etna, lava, ash. It is pleasant to hear how she, and other people admire this volcano for all the good stuff it brings to the region. Her level of english is also pretty good.
We have attended the craters, cave, and tasted the local food production.
I highly recomend this excursion company.

It was a wonderful experience to take part in the Etna morning tour. We had a great time and we could visit places that an avarage turist cannot. Also if you stay in Sicily just for a couple of days it is a really convenient way to visit Etna as you can do other things in the afternoon but also you have experienced Etna in a complex way. I hope to visit again in the future.
Really amazing day with Marco hiking some of the Etna craters, exploring a lava tube and a fantastic gorge and river.
Marco is extemely knowledgeable about this region and the fact that he obviously loves his job is evident. As he says…he has the best office in the world!

Abbiamo visitato il Vulcano insieme ai nostri due bambini. E’ stata un’esperienza straordinaria: le bellezze dell’Etna (dalle più evidenti a quelle più nascoste) sono state rese ancora più vivide da Aristide, che ci ha guidato con la sua profonda competenza e istintiva simpatia; intrattenendo e stimolando anche i bambini con riflessioni tanto precise quanto divertenti. Se ne ricorderanno per lungo tempo. Organizzazione impeccabile: esperienza fortemente consigliata.
Bella esperienza, il tour sull’Etna, Aristide è stato molto simpatico e preparato. Però avremmo gradito vedere il tramonto dall’Etna, visto che il tour lo prevedeva.

Tour al tramonto, esperienza meravigliosa
Prima volta in Sicilia con la famiglia, abbiamo scelto questo pacchetto di escursioni per visitare le due mete. Ci ha accompagnato in questa esperienza Aristide, guida molto preparata e socievole. Ci ha descritto accuratamente tutti i dettagli del paesaggio anche con aneddoti storici e con la sua preparazione da speleologo ci ha fatto immedesimato come se fossimo in una delle sue spedizioni. Ottima anche la degustazione di oli, vini e miele tipici della zona. Consigliatissimo.
Incredible tour around Miss Etna. Very different sites giving a complete view of this never sleeping and inspirational volcano. Florinda drove us (very safely) around and explained historical eruptions and local anecdotes, making the trip between sites very enjoyable. The highlight was the visit to one of the lava caves. Highly recommend!

Abbiamo passato una bella mattinata alla scoperta dell’ Etna. Aristide è una guida molto preparata che rende la visita interessante e originale. Lo consigliamo fortemente per chi vuole un tour o trekking sull’Etna.
Escursione ben organizzata, la nostra guida puntuale, molta preparata, nonche’ simpatica. Luoghi affascinanti e spettacolari dal punto di vista naturalistico. Consiglio a famiglie/gruppi che visitano Etna e dintorni, soprattutto per la prima volta.
Siamo stati a Catania a febbraio per la festa di S Agata, un giorno è stato dedicato per visitare l’Etna , che in quei gg era innevato, paesaggi suggestivi , abbiamo visitato una grotta creata da una colata lavica , tutto accompagnati da Aristide la nostra guida , una persona squisita, nonché molto preparata , consiglio vivamente

Una bellissima esperienza, escursione sull’Etna resa molto impegnativa e difficoltosa a causa del forte vento ma Aristide super preparato e paziente e’ riuscito a renderla molto interessante, ci ha sommerso di nozioni. L’escursione alle Gole dell’Alcantara e’ stata piu’ tranquilla ma non meno ricca di importanti informazioni che Aristide ci ha fornito, senza dubbio una delle guide più preparate che io abbia mai incontrato! Sono nato e cresciuto in Sicilia, alle pendici dell’Etna. Ho visitato più volte il Parco Naturale del nostro amato vulcano sino all’altezza del Rifugio Sapienza con la mia famiglia e/o amici. Nonostante conoscessi (o credessi di conoscere) già questi luoghi, rivisitarli in compagnia di Aristide ha dato un sapore del tutto nuovo all’esperienza. Sebbene ci fossimo rivolti a lui principalmente per far conoscere ai nostri partner non siciliani le bellezze del nostro territorio, devo dire che per qualche ora mi sono sentito anch’io un turista a casa mia. Oltre ad essere una persona piacevole, Aristide è anche estremamente preparato e pronto a rispondere ad ogni domanda relativa alla storia e alla natura del Parco dell’Etna. Posso ritenermi estremamente soddisfatto dell’esperienza e non vedo l’ora di rivolgermi di nuovo ad Artistide per tour ancora più avvincenti alla scoperta del nostro meraviglioso vulcano!
We just finished our Etna Morning Tour experience and it was amazing. Simone is a great guide, he has a lot of knowledge is a very positive person filled with interesting facts about Etna. I am really really happy we chose this tour instead of going al one because it absolutely exceeted our expectations.
We had an early morning tour. Long story short: very disappointing. Guide didn’t talk much and we had to ask always for information instead of him giving us those.
We had an half day morning tour which was absolutely perfect. Our guide Florinda was incredibly friendly and shared lots of information about “Mrs Etna”, it’s history and impact on Catania. We stopped at all the points of interest with the cave being a highlight. The stop at the honey and wine place was a nice bonus to finish off with. A fantastic tour made particularly great by Florinda who made sure we all enjoyed it – but especially so for our teenage boys. Many thanks

Bellissima escursione. Prima tappa nel paesino di Zafferana con assaggio di vini e miele da non perdere, poi visita a delle grotte laviche e infine, salendo di quota, si arriva a dei vecchi crateri. Aristide è un’ottima guida, gentile e stimolante e con lui anche i suoi colleghi. Il loro interesse è spassionato ed ascoltarli per tutto il tempo è un vero piacere. Percorso complessivamente non troppo faticoso eccetto per un paio di salite che portano ai crateri, ma ottimo per godere del paesaggio meraviglioso e scoprire la storia del vulcano.
An amazing Tour with our very nice Guide Aristide. Very intresting, also for my kids age 11+10! We only had to think about water and clothes, the rest made our guide, we didn’t had to think about anything else. Also he let us choose what we prefer to do and had also an alternative.
We would do it all over again

Un esperienza da non perdere, immersi nella natura e nella cultura di questo meraviglioso territorio che ti avvolge interamente. Una passeggiata, in alcuni punti un po’ più faticosa ma assolutamente fattibile, che passa da un paesaggio verde ad uno quasi completamente nero, e con una vista finale che toglie il fiato.
La nostra guida era molto gentile e disponibile, altamente preparato e soprattutto molto coinvolgente. Ci ha piano piano fatte immergere nella storia che vi è dietro al vulcano e ci ha coinvolte ancora di più cercando di farci intuire i vari percorsi e processi che la lava percorre. Possibile chiedergli una qualsiasi informazione riguardante il tour e il territorio circostante.
In esperienza che consigliamo vivamente e soprattutto se accompagnati dal nostro, oramai amico, Aristide non vi deluderà!

Svegliarsi presto al mattino per questo splendido giro sull’Etna ne è davvero valsa la pena. La nostra guida, Aristide, ci ha permesso di fare un esperienza immersiva del mongibello. Come speleologi ci ha portato nelle grotte di scorrimento lavico e come esploratori abbiamo camminato sul paesaggio lunare dei crateri Silvestri.
